  • New Roman Missal for Elementary and Middle School Youth - This video helps middle school youth understand WHY and HOW the words of the Catholic Mass are changing. The video gives a casual history of the words we use at Mass, and then gives specific examples of what to expect at Mass later this year.
  • New Roman MIssal for High School Teens - Mark Hart helps high school teens understand HOW and WHY the words of the Mass are changing. Mark compares the “dynamic equivalent” and the “formal equivalent” of how we translate words from Latin to English, and then explains the elaborate process used to create the new Roman Missal. Finally, Mark challenges teenagers to rediscover the meaning behind the words we pray at Mass each week.
  • New Roman Missal for Parents and Adults - Why are the words of the Catholic Mass changing? Fr. John Muir confronts the misconceptions about the changes with truth and clarity. Fr. John helps parents understand the recent history behind the newest 3rd Edition of the Roman Missal and how it grows from the 1st and 2nd editions. Fr. John compares the “dynamic equivalent” and the “formal equivalent” of how we translate words from Latin to English, and then explains the elaborate process used to create the new Roman Missal. Finally, Fr. John encourages us to rediscover the meaning behind the words and we use at Mass and how we can help our children through this transition.
  • Fr. Joshua Brommer presents changes to the New Roman Missal - This is an Elluminate! session recorded at the Diocese of Harrisburg. Fr. Joshua Brommer, diocesan Coordinator of Liturgy and Assistant to Bishop McFadden, gives his presentation on the Third Edition of the New Roman Missal. The session may be used privately or in small adult groups only. 
    To use Elluminate!, you will need a Java player. Then,
    1. click on the link above or click here.
    2. under Recording Access, choose Guest. Then, enter your email address and your name.
    3. Next, click Play.
    4. You will be prompted to download recording.jnlp. Click Open.
    5. After a minute or so, the Elluminate Live! applet will appear. Be sure to allow Elluminate! to work through your firewall and accept the terms. Ensure that your speakers (sound) is also working.
