Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Ever forget your weekly offering on the dining room table as you were heading out to Church? Well we can remove one more thing from your to do list!

Electronic contribution is an automatic transfer program which allows you to make “Regular Collection” contributions to St. Joseph Church without writing checks. It saves you time; it simplifies your life; and you help the church stabilize its budget and save money.

Once you authorize the transfer, your specified contribution is electronically transferred directly from your checking or savings account to the church’s account. Your contribution be deducted from your account on the 15th of the month. If the designated date falls on a weekend or bank holiday, your transfer will take place the next business day. Since your contribution is made at a pre-established time, you simply record it in your check register on the appropriate date. Your bank statement gives you an itemized list of electronic transfers. You may also request a tax statement from the Parish Office at the end of the year, just as you have done previously.

Electronic contribution is less risky than check contribution. It can’t be lost, stolen, or destroyed in the mail, and it has a high rate of accuracy. It costs you nothing and saves you time!

To sign up, simply complete and sign the authorization form below and return it to the Parish Office in a sealed envelope, along with a voided check or savings deposit slip. You can make changes or discontinue at any time. Changes must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the next scheduled debit.

You choose whether to still receive envelopes in the mail. You can continue to receive regular monthly packet (for those who choose to have something to drop in the basket at Mass—please indicate “EFT” on your Regular Collection envelope) or you receive quarterly only the Special Collection envelopes (including one debt reduction envelope for each month of the quarter); or Option C: Discontinue envelopes. Regardless of the option you choose, you will still receive a separate envelope for each: Christmas, Easter, and Lenten Appeal, as well as other parish mailings.
