What is the Youth Protection Program?
The Diocese of Harrisburg requires that all clergy, employees, and volunteers who have the possibility of ministering to youth (children under the age of 18) complete a series of background clearances and youth protection online training course. St. Joseph Parish takes this commendable diocesan mandate very seriously and insists that all of these clergy, employees, and volunteers complete the required steps before beginning their ministry. You can read more about the Diocesan Youth Protection Program by going to the Youth Protection website.

To the left are the required steps needed to become cleared by the Youth Protection Program (YPP). Please go to each page and follow the directions. You can also click here to download frequently asked questions concerning the Youth Protection Program.
If you already have a badge that is due to expire the end of December you do not have to repeat the clearance process. A new badge will be issued. Thank you.
