Adult Formation

The Adult Formation Department oversees all ministries that have to do with the catechesis of adults in the Catholic Faith. Adult Formation includes opportunities for people of a variety of needs, including those who are interested in becoming Catholic and those Catholics who may have not been involved in the Church for a while. Adult Formation also offers opportunities for Catholics to move their “head” knowledge into “heart” knowledge especially in times of trial as in death, divorce, or illness. All are invited to explore the programs below to deepen their knowledge of Catholicism and relationship to Jesus Christ.

Great Adventure Bible Study Series --Gives the “big picture” of salvation history, and helps participants learn how to read the Bible as a Catholic.

Bereavement Ministry --Seasons of Hope is for those who mourn the loss of a loved one. This fresh approach puts Jesus at the center and invites the bereaved to entrust their loss and loneliness to Him within the abundant consoling wisdom of our Catholic tradition.

Catholic Divorce Survival --Guides you through the pain and confusion of divorce to the rich wisdom of the Catholic Church. For true inner healing and a return to joy, we point you to the Sacraments where you’ll encounter Christ with all His love and mercy—in a deeply personal way.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)--For those looking to learn more about the Catholic faith, married to a Catholic and wondering if they should join the Church, baptized in the Catholic Church as a child but never given any instruction or never received the Sacraments of Confirmation and/or Eucharist. RCIA provides an opportunity to explore Catholic teaching and practice and to discover for yourself the abundant life within the Catholic Church.

In His Footsteps--A prayer support group for Catholic women with chronic illness, who meet weekly to study scripture and Catholic practices, develop friendship with Christ and offer prayer for one another.

Hearts Afire Parish Based Program (HAPP) --From the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception --A bold and fresh approach to small group, parish-based, faith renewal programs. It is designed to help us live the complete Catholic life of faith, charity, and the sacraments. It's designed to set our hearts on fire with love of God and neighbor and to inspire us to works of mercy in our families, parishes, and communities. Consoling the Heart of Jesus begins Jan. 26th, 2017." Click here for more informaton.

Marriage Enrichment --A resource offered to couples to strengthen their marriage or create a strong foundation. It works to educate, strengthen, promote and advocate the splendor and truth of God’s plan for Marriage.
