Mission Statement
To keep St. Joseph's home-bound parishioners in communion with the Catholic Community through:
- distribution of the Holy Eucharist;
- visitations;
- transportation to/from doctors; and
- information on community services relevant to the aging population and their families/caregivers.

What is the time commitment?
Extraordinary Ministers serve once a month - either Sunday or during the week. Transporters are usually requested during normal business hours and are as flexible as your time allows.
Who is Eligible?
- 18 years of age;
- Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – York;
- Be in good standing with the Catholic Church;
- Practicing your faith;
- Be of respected and upright character;
- Willing to serve on a regular basis;
- Complete Application For Mandate from the Diocese of Harrisburg;
- Schedule appointment to meet with Fr. Louis Petruha, Pastor; and
- Attend a Training Session for Extraordinary Ministers with the Diocese as well as our own parish training.
