Mission Statement

A mission of prayer, hope and charity. St. Joseph Sanctity of Life Ministry answers the call to defend the sacredness and dignity of all life from conception to natural death according to the teaching of the Catholic Church. The Ministry responds to John Paul II’s plea for “a general mobilization of consciences and a united ethical effort to activate a great campaign in support of life. All together we must build a culture of life.” (EV, n.95)
The Ministry seeks to build a culture of life through a multi-faceted approach consisting of prayer, education, community outreach and healing:

Most important, we are grounded in fervent prayer and offer various prayer opportunities.
  • We seek to educate on Pro-Life matters within our Parish and at multiple venues to raise awareness of the humanity of the preborn child and the dignity of the elderly, marginalized and vulnerable in our society.

Our community outreach includes prayerful, truthful, loving, apostolic witness. We support local Pregnancy Resource Centers and their clients in need, through various fund raisers and collections. We work in unity with other Pro-Life organizations. We reach out in charity and compassion to those who seek healing, reconciliation and understanding. We support the efforts of Rachel’s Vineyard as a safe place to experience God’s mercy, love and compassion. We continue our outreach to post abortive persons through a program called PALM (Post Abortion Love & Life Mission).

All “works” are in cooperation with God’s gracious guidance and under the patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
