Mrs. Byrnes believes that a Catholic
Education is the best gift any child can receive,
particularly a St. Joseph Education. During her
ministry as a Catholic educator, she has taught all grades
from Kindergarten through Eighth, in the Archdiocese of
Philadelphia and the Diocese of Harrisburg. She first taught
at St. Joseph School in 1986 as a substitute teacher.
In 1995, she became the Fifth and Sixth Grade Science
teacher, especially loving Environmental Science. In
2000, Mrs. Byrnes became the Vice Principal. In 2002 she was
named the Principal of St. Joseph School. Her
favorite task as principal is leading students in prayer and
liturgy. Seeing students grow in their sacramental
lives is such a blessing.
Mrs. Byrnes is always proud of the
achievements of our faculty and students. Wonderful
things are happening in SJS classrooms every day! We
are so
pleased with the Renovation project of 2006, and most grateful to all donors
who have made this dream a reality for the children of St.
Joseph. Mrs. Byrnes offers daily prayers for the faculty,
students and families of St. Joseph School and Parish.
Mrs. Byrnes enjoys living in York County, with her loving
husband and children. Her hobbies are reading, sewing, and
walking. Family activities keep the Byrnes clan quite busy. Her patron saints are St.
Joseph, St. Patrick, and the Blessed Mother.
