After Hours is a week-long program which serves as an educational alternative to daycare, but which should not be compared to or associated in any way with daycare. Students who participate in this program are ones who come on a weekly basis throughout the entire school year. Students do not have to participate 5 days per week; however, their parents still pay the same flat tuition fee. Parents may pick up their children any time during operating hours.

Tuition

Tuition,at present, is $45 per student per week. This includes a daily snack.
Tuition may be paid at the end of each week, bimonthly, or monthly.

Goals of After Hours

1. To provide a well-balanced, structured, educational alternative to daycare for children whose parents desire a productive and fun enrichment activity time after school, in a nurturing, supportive environment…
2. To aid in the development and reinforcement of positive work habits and, as a result, foster high self esteem, within a coordinated and supervised program where completion of homework and directed study is a top priority.
3. To place an important emphasis on each child’s good behavior toward others in order to become a better citizen in God’s world…

A Typical After Hours Day

1. Each participating student will be assigned a classroom and teacher to whom they will report at the end of each school day. Every effort will be made to keep class size limited to approximately 15 children or less. You, as the parent, will be picking up your children at their assigned room each day.
2. Having reported to their classroom, older children begin a supervised homework/study time, while younger children participate in age-appropriate activities.
3. All children enjoy approximately 45 minutes of outside recess, weather permitting.
4. A snack is served after recess in each classroom.
5. A varied, age-appropriate enrichment activity time usually follows snack time. This involves a multitude of options such as storytelling, arts and crafts, and/or social awareness projects. Emphasis is always put on good manners and kindness to others.
6. Having had a full day, the final 30 minutes are usually spent cleaning up and preparing to go home.

How do I register my child in After Hours?

1. Call the school office to determine if space is available.
2. Complete a registration form obtained through the school office or from the After Hours
