What is the Development Committee?

The Development Committee is an 8-14 person committee which is an extension of the School Board and acts as an advisory committee for our Principal and Pastor.  This committee focuses on promoting the school and its events, while actively pursuing funds for tuition assistance and school resources. Currently, we are pursuing Educational Income Tax Credits through the Commonwealth of PA, assisting with the Open House sessions during the school year, organizing an annual Golf Tournament, and creating an endowment through estate planning for future families to our school.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Development Committee is to encourage, facilitate, and nurture a quality, faith-based education.  While focusing on Christ as our leader, we will foster communication, cultivate alumni relations, promote unity, build and coordinate ongoing streams of revenue, and promote St. Joseph School.

Who is eligible to participate on this committee?

With the exception of the ex officio Members, each Member shall serve a term of one (1) year.  At the end of each school year, the Members for the following school year shall be elected at the last meeting of Development Committee during the then current school year by a majority vote of the Members then in office. Nominations for Members may be submitted by the Pastor, the Members and/or the St. Joseph School Board.

How often do they meet?

Bi-monthly meetings throughout the school year as needed.
