Course No. 1, week two At the end of the course, students are required to take a questionnaire to see how they liked the course they had just taken. The questionnaires were done anonymously and send through e-mail to the instructors. These are the comments made by the students present that day.

A great volume of material is covered in a very short time—much more than some older folks can adjust to so quickly. It was stressful but fun. I enjoyed it. I am sure that I came out of the course knowing much more than I did when I started. My use of the computer is just for personal reasons so it will take time to master many of the additional fun things that it is capable of doing. Comments: I think that Tom was great—it was fun to see such a young man with such a passion for something good. He was great with all of us. I am sure that he will make a great teacher when his time comes. God Bless him. I enjoyed learning: Internet - also I was able to show my son how to change the wallpaper - it was nice being able to teach him something for a change! I didn’t enjoy learning: I really can’t say there was not anything I did not find fun learning - I just wished I could have had more time at home in-between classes to absorb what I had learned and play around on my home computer. Last Reaction: The world of computers is not as scary as I once felt! What to change: I enjoyed each evening!  I feel that I am much more comfortable with my home computer—and even learned some helpful hints to use as far as my work computer.  I understand the computer lingo now and I am able to figure out much more than I did than before I took the course. My only complaint was that there was so much information each night and not enough time to really absorb all I would have liked to if I had more time.  It was hard to make time for home responsibilities and try to do my homework!!  But, I plan to learn more on my own time, now that you gave me the tools I need. Thank you very much!   I fully enjoyed this course! Comments: You will make a wonderful teacher, Tom!  If you can accomplish this much with with us "teaching old dogs new tricks"!  Just think what you can do with a room full of young minds who are already adapted to computers! When I started working right out of college, we used electric typewriters, then we moved on to word processors and I took a course to be able to do my work, then, I got a home computer (before internet) and it used DOS, which I taught myself and then when my work required a computer, I took classes through my work.
