Course No. 4, Winter 2007 Session At the end of the course, students are required to take a questionnaire to see how they liked the course they had just taken. The questionnaires were done anonymously and send through e-mail to the instructors. These are the comments made by the students present that day.

Person One First Reaction: This could be interesting. I just hope my brain is not too zonked from work to take it all in. I learned everything I wanted to learn and more Complexity: 4 - Good Pace: 4 - Just right Method of teaching I enjoyed Most: both powerpoint and the main course handouts and h.w. Method of teaching I enjoyed Least: When it was the hands off part as I learn a task best by doing the task. Instructor Rating: 8 Curriculum: 8 Recommend this course to someone else: Yes Last Reaction: I am glad that I came even after a long day at work. What to change: Adult learners learn best by doing the task presented. That is why I asked one night if others could get to the same spot that you were showing up on the screen. I would have quizzes on how to get to a specific website or something of that nature. Running into problems and learning how to get out of them is very important. I would be nice if the classes were longer in total session length ( 6 -8 instead of 5) for a shorter time perhaps... Comments: Tom, You did a great job. It would be great if the info. You work well with people of varying age and background and have fun imparting your knowledge. That helps those who come in worried that they won't catch on. Keep up the good work! Comments: Tom and Colleen did a great job teaching the course. They are very knowledge, helpful and willing to answer any questions without making anyone feel stupid. ******************************************************************************* Person Three First Reaction: looking forward to knowledge and answers to some things unknown to me. Each thing that was discussed helped me expand my knowledge base and give me confidence. What to change: There was not much change that I could recommend except maybe having the participants speak louder. Comments: I think the internet course we just completed was extremely well organized and very enlightening. It covered most of the things I expected and the instructors were always willing and very capable of answering questions and giving instruction. I think anyone who took the time and effort to participate would come away really satisfied. What to change: I can't really think of anything. Comments: Thanks for teaching this class, Tom. I no longer feel computer illiterate. The homework was really a good teaching tool. What to change: It was fine as is. No changes necessary. Comments: Material well planned, effectively delivered, students challenged by some accountability which is usually missing from this type of class. Keep it about like it is. Keep the personal interaction and reviews. For me, repetition is necessary for tech data to stick. Enjoyed it, learned much. I am frightened a bit by malware but will get over it!!! I really learned a lot and feel that at least I know the terminology enough to ask questions that aren't tooo stupid (even though they are pretty dumb since I am a beginner). Thanks this really was a great class. I'm glad we had homework and tests.
