Overview

This course involved the basics of computing and how to use Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 2000.

 

In computer basics, you will learn the physical features of, be able to put together, and how to take care of a desktop PC.

 

In Microsoft Windows, you will learn how to use My Computer and Explorer, understand Windows terminology, how to customize Windows, how to navigate around in the directories, installing programs, learning about the internet and viruses, and more.

Time Period

This course will be a five-day course at about three hours (definite time can be found in the "Schedule" part of this website) each night.

 

Cost

The cost is $75 per person. This defrays the cost for use of the Computer Lab and school facilities, materials, and complementary refreshments.

 

Requirements

AT HOME OR WORK  Your home or work computer should be running at least Microsoft Windows 95 or 98 and must be a PC (IBM-Compatible) machine. No Apple or Macintosh software and instruction will be given.

 

AT THE COURSE CLASSROOM  On the first day of class, you should bring with you a pencil or pen, pocket folder, and a copybook (spiral or marble).
