Overview

This course involves learning all about the internet including surfing the internet, searching for topics on the internet, downloading, using internet explorer, email, devices, security, viruses, and more.

 

This course focuses on the memorization of internet terms, learning how to use the internet and email, and learning how to combat the "dark side" of the internet.

Time Period

This course will be a five-day (15-hour) course at about three hours (definite time can be found in the "Schedule" part of this website) each night.

 

Cost

The cost is $75 per person. This defrays the cost for use of the Computer Lab and school facilities, materials, and complementary refreshments.

 

Requirements

AT HOME OR WORK  Your home or work computer should be running at least Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP (recommended) and must be a PC (IBM-Compatible) machine. No Apple or Macintosh software and instruction will be given. You should have access to the internet and email.

 

AT THE COURSE CLASSROOM  On the first day of class, you should bring with you a pencil or pen, pocket folder, and a copybook (spiral or marble). Bring and take all work materials given out home and back to class each time the class meets.
