AT HOME OR WORK Your home or work computer should be running at least Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP (recommended) and must be a PC (IBM-Compatible) machine. No Apple or Macintosh software and instruction will be given.
Students must bring their own digital camera. You must know how
to work your digital camera and be able to download the photos
from your camera to your computer. It is highly recommended that
you have a photo-editing program installed on your computer to
reinforce the concepts learned in class.
Adobe Photoshop Elements is recommended because this is the
program used in class. Other programs are acceptable as long as
you are willing to figure it out. You may purchase Adobe
Photoshop Elements from any computer store such as Office Max,
Staples, Circuit City, or Best Buy.
AT THE COURSE CLASSROOM On the first day of class, you should bring with you a pencil or pen, pocket folder, and a copybook (spiral or marble). Bring and take all work materials given out home and back to class each time the class meets.
It is also vital to bring your digital camera with a charged
battery, manual of the camera if available, and USB cable.
